Abstract

The jurisprudential authority of the Quran in deducing religious rulings, like the scientific authority of this divine book, is an important issue that has attracted the attention of Quran scholars, and extensive discussions have also been formed about the number of jurisprudential verses of the Quran and research has been conducted in this regard. The question of the present study is what views have been formed about the jurisprudential authority of the Quran and the number of its jurisprudential verses, and which view is superior to the others? This study, using an analytical-descriptive method and using library data, has reached the following findings: the view of the combined authority of the Quran and the Sunnah and the authenticity of the two in deducing jurisprudential rulings is famous among Muslims and can be defended. On the other hand, given the existence of different inferential foundations and paradigms regarding the jurisprudential verses of the Quran, the formation of different views and scattered opinions regarding the number of jurisprudential verses of the Quran is not far from being expected; However, based on the maximum use of the jurisprudential capacity of the Quran, the existing statements have not followed the right path, and reaching a comprehensive number of jurisprudential verses of this divine book requires comprehensive research in this field.
